Looking at this photo alone makes me happy.
They are my honey.

Prayers for Mary and Hooi Ni

Today is second day which Mary is infected by denggi. Her situation got worse. The bitter gout with frog soup does not help much. Alex and I prayed for her, and also asked my sister and bro-in-law to pray for her.
Lord, may you heal Mary and may she has fast recovery.

In the other hand, Hooi Ni is hospitalized this morning, and has born to a healthy baby girl weighted 2.84kg through caesarian. Praise the Lord!

Mating flies

The fly couple on Alex's car windshield. They were still joined together when the car was on the road. Eventually a long trailer passed by and the strong wind blew them away...

Last weekend, also by luck I saw a dragonfly couple (brown colour about an inch long) mating on dry grass. One on top, the other at the bottom, and their bottoms were joined. They stopped at a spot for some times, then flew to another spot, stopped a few minutes, again flew to another spot. Their body were still joined even when they flew (as I didn't see them re-attaching to each other after they reach the ground/grass). Only if I have camera that day...

Plant treasure - Mengkudu (noni)

Last Sunday SingJiuJitPow "Sunday Special" posted about Malaysia's 7 not-so-famous tonics. Surprisingly one of the "fruit" is similar to the photos I took on 26-Oct-08 at my Pasir Panjang home.

Now I know the "fruit" is called "mengkudu" or "noni". In chinese, it is called 海巴戟天(HaiBaJiTian). As it has certain benefits to skin and good in solving menstrual problem, I will probably try noni juice when I go back this weekend.

Left: baby noni.
Middle: teen noni.
Right: matured (?) noni.

Things money can't buy

The Wednesday after recent Deepavali holiday is a weird day for Alex.
He went to TMNet to buy a modem as the existing one already spoilt. TMNet service counter informed him that the person in charge is not working, and the model he is looking for also no longer available.

His car ran out of fuel, so he went to his favourite "P" fuel station and surprisingly found that it was closed! Another "S" fuel station also closed. He ended up refill at "M" station.

Our favourite Chinese restaurant walking distance from our home also close on Wednesday. So we cooked dinner at home that night.

I told Alex:"there are indeed things that we cannot buy even though we have money!"

A Wet Morning

Health Concern

Oh God... I should stop worrying and start living a normal life: work 8 hours a day, go exercise / walk everyday, eat balance meals 3 times a day, sleep before 12am, and take food supplements.

As a human working for money, it is difficult to be a "normal" person. This was a successful Amway leader's quote. I remember it well as so many people around me are not normal.

God, in your words you said: you heal, and we have power to heal. By your stripes I am healed. Bruises on my legs, dry lips, eczema on my right foot, "liver depression", hair dropping... all deseases, go from me now! In Jesus name, Amen!

Xing Jie and her baby walker

18-Oct-08: Xing Jie stayed with grandparents during weekdays. When we went back during the weekend, she can already sit in baby walker and walk around.

Fishing - Part 3

25-Oct-08: Alex tried his luck, fishing at the small pond behind my parents' home. No fish.
The "bridge" to go over to the small pond. Alex waiting patiently for the fish to hook on to his bait.
.

27-Oct-08: Mr. Tien showed Alex how to fish by using lizard as bait. See the splendid result!

Fishing - Part 2

Mr. Tien fish a loach from the abandoned small pond at the back of my parents' home. Noticed his face expression: "great achievement" and satisfied.

Fishing - part 1

My father fixed the 'magnet fish' toy. Alex tested if it is working.

Sorry because I let you stepped on my foot

I am going down the stairs, and Alex is going upstairs. He accidentally stepped on my right foot.
"Oops! Sorry." I said.
I walked a few more steps, turned around and asked him:"You stepped on my foot. Why should I say sorry?"
...
"Oh, because it was my fault to walk my foot under yours. You never meant to step on my foot."
"Yes!" Alex answered with a big grin on his face.
